The novel is set in an alternate universe, similar to our own, covering general time periods between the 1980s and early 2000s. Two strangers, Amihan and Lucio, seek an escape from the meaningless day-to-day existence of their lives. At first, they find a commonality through their twilight meetings on a rooftop in New York. Eventually their lives grow closer, and they become lovers. As their love deepens, it becomes something more than the intensely growing bond between them. Jon M. Fox is a writer of experimental fiction, non-fiction and poetry. He has made his home in the Philippines since 2017. A former educator, his writing has appeared in such diverse publications as An Indigenous Message on Water, Dialogo, Night to Dawn Magazine, and Poets But Us: Wordsmiths' Journal and Magazine. Jon's fictional writing and poetry frequently focuses on the genre of magical realism, largely stemming from his Yaqui Native American indigenous heritage and life experiences. When he isn't reading or writing, he's busy with various projects in Nueva Ecija Province in the Philippines, where he is sharing time with his wife and family....
