Idomen?e is a tragic opera (trag?die en musique) in five acts and a prologue by Andr? Campra, with a libretto by Antoine Danchet. It was first performed at the Acad?mie Royale de Musique (Paris Opera) on 15 January 1712. Based on the story of Idomeneus, King of Crete, the opera blends elements of classical mythology and courtly drama.

Danchet's libretto draws on the themes of duty, love, and sacrifice, exploring the moral dilemmas faced by Idom?n?e as he struggles to fulfill a vow made to Neptune.
