Mike Diaz, a retired Navy veteran with twenty years of service, found a new mission post-military life: storytelling. After earning a bachelor's degree upon returning to civilian life, he settled in North Georgia with his wife and three sons. His inspiration to delve into writing stemmed from an early spark in elementary school when he penned a captivating short story from the perspective of a Cincinnati Reds manager's (Pete Rose) ball cap, exploring the aftermath of a gambling scandal. This initial success fueled his passion for storytelling and his desire to unearth the untold tales behind everyday objects.During a three-year stint working at a pawnshop, Mike''s imagination was ignited by the hidden stories behind the items passing through the store. Simultaneously, his role as a Cub Scout leader became a platform for spinning enthralling campfire yarns, further nurturing his storytelling prowess. Motivated by a friend, he embarked on a literary journey to tick off a bucket list item: writing a book.
