This is the fifth book in the Nic Thorn & Associates series. This time Nic and the team are brought in to investigate the age-old scam of scamming the State Government's old age portfolio. The team base themselves in Sydney but when the fan gets covered with the brown smelly stuff they head back into Brisbane asap to shut down the fraudster. Meantime, one of their lesser-liked associates gets herself involved in a Real Estate Agency scam where the bonds are handed over in cash. It doesn't make sense to the team, but what their friend Dimond gets involved in only ever makes sense to her. Finally, the team investigates a questionable diamond prize, but getting stranded in Dubai on the way to South Africa was never in the plan.
