As? surge su colosal biograf?a El ?ltimo maqui.
Sommaire:
Did you know that, years after the bloody war ended, a silent and fierce struggle was still being waged in many mountains of Spain? Have you ever heard of certain men who preferred to live like vermin and take up arms rather than accept the yoke of Franco's triumphant regime? Outlaws, criminals, liberators, heroes... how can we rescue them from myth? Who was the man they called Mario de Langullo? In 1936, civil war ravaged the Spanish people and consumed their dismemberment into two sides divided by an endless trench of misunderstanding. Among the defeated, thousands refused exile and joined the guerrilla forces in pursuit of redemption or mere survival. Having fled to a remote village in Ourense (Galicia) almost from the start of the uprising, O Pinche soon learned of his father's execution: for him, an odyssey of more than three decades had begun that would turn him into a legend. Fifty robberies, fifteen murders, and three women who broke his heart mark the career of Mario Rodr?guez Losada. A reward of one million pesetas and an interview with communist leader Santiago Carrillo complete the unusual life story of the man who would be the last of the maquis to leave Spanish territory. Like the undergrowth that camouflaged and even baptized those indomitable rebels, their silencing under the official label of bandits has made them almost untraceable... but in certain places and parishes, the exploits and outrages of the children of the mountains can still be heard, and their mark remains in chronicles and records. This delightful fictionalized biography, the result of twenty-five years of research and thanks to unpublished testimonies collected in situ (beginning with that of his only recognized daughter), reveals to us as never before the leader of one of the most feared groups in the country, who lived to tell the tale: Mario, the last anti-Franco guerrilla....
