He founded Haldeman-Julius Publications and created the influential Little Blue Books series, which made literature accessible to the working class. His books, covering a variety of subjects from philosophy to politics, sold in the millions and had a lasting impact on public education. A strong advocate for socialist ideals, Haldeman-Julius left a legacy of intellectual accessibility. He married Anna Marcet Haldeman in 1916, and they raised two daughters, Alice and Josephine.
