His books include The Cinema of David Cronenberg (2008), The Cinema of the Low Countries (2004), The Lord of the Rings (2006, 2007), John Fawcett's Ginger Snaps (2013), and The Screen Censorship Companion (with Daniel Biltereyst, 2024). With Jamie Sexton he co-wrote and co-edited Cult Cinema (2011) and The Routledge Companion to Cult Cinema (2019).
