This book discusses in detail the key specifications of fully integrated low-dropout regulators (LDOs). It covers the various LDO architectures, including the classic analog architectures and the stat-of-the-art digital and switching control methods.   Biographie:
  Xiangyu Mao received his BEng and MSc degrees in Electronic Engineering from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Macau, Macau, China, in 2022. From 2012 to 2019, he worked as an IC Design Engineer and later as a Project Manager at Hisilicon Corporation in Shenzhen, China, where he focused on various analog IPs in 40 nm to 7 nm CMOS technology. From 2022 to 2024, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, University of Macau. In December 2024, he joined the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, as a Professor. His current research interests are integrated power management systems, including vertical power delivery for high-performance processors, high-efficiency, high-density DC-DC power converters, and fully integrated voltage regulators. Yan Lu received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in microelectronics from the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and computer engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, China, in 2013. From 2014 to 2024, he was with the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, University of Macau, Macau, China. On July 1st, 2024, He joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, as a Full Professor with the Endowed Xing-Hua Chair Professorship. He has authored/coauthored about 200 peer-reviewed technical articles and two books. His research interests include high-density power converters, integrated voltage regulators, wireless power transfer and energy-harvesting circuits and systems. Dr. Lu has served as an ITPC Member (2020-2024) for ISSCC, as a TPC Member (2019-2022) and then the Power Management Subcommittee Chair (2023-2024) for CICC, and an IEEE SSCS Distinguished Lecturer (2022-2023). He has served as a Guest Editor for the IEEE JSSC in 2022, 2023 and 2024, for the IEEE TCAS-I in 2019, and for the IEEE TCAS-II in 2018 and 2019. He has also served as a Young Editor (2021-2023) and is the Associate Editor (Direction-2: IC Design and Applications) for the Journal of Semiconductors since 2024. He was a recipient/corecipient of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award (2013-14), the IEEE CAS Society Outstanding Young Author Award in 2017, and the ISSCC 2017 Takuo Sugano Award for Outstanding Far-East Paper. Rui P. Martins received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computers from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Instituto Superior T?cnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 1992, and has been with that Department since October 1980, where he is a Full Professor. From 1992, he has been on leave from University of Lisbon and with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau, Macao, China, where he is a Chair-Professor since Aug. 2013. His research interests are on analog and mixed-signal VLSI design and has authored or co-authored 1,030+ publications, including 10 books, 13 book chapters, 70+ Patents, 430+ papers in scientific journals and 460+ in conference proceedings, as well as other 80 academic works. He was the Founding Director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, between 2011 and 2022, and is currently the Director of the Institute of Microelectronics, both at the University of Macau, Macao, China.
