Biographie:
Phil Rogers was one of Britain's leading potters and advocates for his craft. He was a fellow of the Craft Potters Association and had in the past been chairman of its council. His work is held by museums around the world, including the V&A, the British Museum and the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art in Japan. He is the author of Ash Glazes and Salt Glazing....
Sommaire: Phil Rogers was one of Britain's leading potters and advocates for his craft. From his studio near Rhayader in Powys, Wales, he created work that drew on eclectic styles, from medieval German salt-glazed wares to 15th-century Korean porcelain. A passionate promoter of the use of natural materials in glazes, he is widely regarded as one of the giants of UK ceramics. His work is held by museums around the world, including the V&A, the British Museum and the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art in Japan.
