Each poem explores the depth of emotions experienced by those who are hurt. The path of unforgiveness proves lonely and often leaves us surrounded by a sea of un-penetrable walls. It enslaves, ultimately digging emotional graves for the hurting and those who hurt them. To the merciful, mercy will be shown. The most authentic and unconditional love grows from painful hurt and suffering. We know this to be the truth by being a spiritual witness to what we know Christ endured for us on the cross. We all fall short, but though we do, He still loves and forgives us. If our hearts remain open to receive His undying love and we open our minds to believe what our eyes cannot see but our hearts can feel, we too can endure whatever hurt comes our way. And we can forgive those who hurt us, and ourselves for those sorrows we have caused others. Life is too short. Do not shorten yours by holding onto grudges and harboring hurt feelings. Let go, be free. Forgive, forget, and move past all that. Hold on to only love in your heart and have peace. ...
