Is it possible to approach quantum theory in a 'therapeutic' vein that sees its foundational problems as arising from mistaken conceptual presuppositions? The book explores the prospects for this project and, in doing so, discusses such fascinating issues as the nature of quantum states, explanation in quantum theory, and 'quantum non-locality'.
Biographie:
Simon Friederich studied physics and philosophy in G?ttingen and Lausanne and obtained a PhD in physics at the University of Heidelberg.?He has held academic appointments in Wuppertal and G?ttingen, Germany,?and published articles in various leading philosophy journals. His research interests include the philosophy of physics, the philosophy of mathematics, epistemology and philosophy of mind....
