        Michael G. Pecht is a Chair Professor and the Director of the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland, USA. He earned his PhD in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and has authored over 30 books and more than 900 technical articles.
