Jim Lea joined The 'NBetweens at the age of 16 in 1966 and remained in the group until 1992. By that time they were known, of course, as Slade, and enjoyed six UK No.1 singles, three No.1 albums and made the BFI-reissued film Slade In Flame. As co-writer of all their hits, Lea's passionate work ethic and musicianship mean that Slade remain much-loved, long after the original band split. He lives in Staffordshire with his beloved wife, Louise....
