Wounded people wound others, even those they love...It is difficult to deal with the hurts that we don't deserve and yet remain in relationship with those who have inflicted the harm. Since family are those closest to us, it is there that we often face our greatest challenge with forgiveness. We desire to be forgiven when we make a mistake, but find it hard to forgive others when they wound or betray us. We may even feel we are justified in our unforgiveness. Though unforgiveness should be at the heart of our Christian walk, it is definitely easier said than done. In fact, it has been said that unforgiveness has become the cancer of Christianity.
