Biographie:
H. L. Gold (1914-1996) was an American science fiction writer and editor who played a major role in shaping the genre during the mid-twentieth century. He is best known as the influential editor of Galaxy Science Fiction, one of the most important science fiction magazines of the 1950s.Under Gold's editorial leadership, Galaxy became known for sophisticated, socially aware science fiction that emphasized satire, psychology, and social commentary alongside imaginative speculation. In addition to editing, Gold wrote numerous stories that reflected the same sharp insight into human behavior and society that characterized the magazine he helped make famous....
