Présentation Multidimensional Healing de Carol Dignam Format Relié
- Livre Sciences de la vie et de la terre
Résumé : Multidimensional Healing was written for laypeople searching for a holistic perspective of healing and self-healing tools, as well as for trauma psychotherapists - especially the Internal Family Systems' community. The author showcases the IFS psychic parts, while elaborating on their historical prevalence and contribution to multidimensional healing. In the past, most of the wisdom traditions had healing systems which facilitated multidimensional physical-psycho-spiritual healing such as Animistic shamanic, and Monist ayurvedic and Chinese herbal medicines. Today, since the dominant healing system scientific allopathy was never spiritual and stopped being psychic when it replaced psychoanalysis with drugs, does not support psychic or spiritual healing. In search of more holistic healing systems and methods, the author acquired a master's degree in medical Anthropology. This led to further training in the ancient psychic healing methods shamanic journeying and meditation, and in the modern cutting edge trauma psychotherapy Internal Family Systems. When the author rediscovered the ancient wisdom that these methods elicit the same journey described in the cherished myths of her childhood, she experienced a paradigm shift. When traditional Hero myths describe a Prince crossing to a magical dreamworld and allying the indwelling magical beings to save a traumatized Princess, they are describing how these methods support access to the dreamworld and the psychic and spiritual parts therein who support trauma release. Today, when superhero myths describe either violent men or masculine women killing enemies and saving helpless Princesses in the physical world, they are describing physical allopathic healing - the killing of germs by heroic doctors to save helpless patients. These Hero myths have overshadowed the traditional Heroine myths describing psycho-spiritual healing. When a traditional Heroine myth describes a Princess crossing to the wilderness to weave together a magical cloak with the harmonizing power to heal others, it is describing how a heroic meditator crosses to the subconscious dreamworld to weave together their psyche until it has the harmonizing power to heal others. In keeping with this myth, the author began weaving together the cosmic wisdom traditions Animism, Monism, Polytheism, Monotheism and Scientism. When she wove together their psychic healing methods - shamanic journeying, prayer, meditation and regression- she unearthed the treasure of a universal meditation facilitating a physical-psycho-spiritual healing journey. When she wove together their archetypal systems describing the psychic and spiritual parts supporting this journey, she unearthed the treasure of a universal archetypal system.
Biographie:
Carol Dignam is as multidimensional as her book. Armed with a master's degree in medical Anthropology and another in counselling psychology, she cast her net widely in search of a holistic perspective of healing and of holistic healing methods. When she netted shamanic journeying, meditation, and the trauma psychotherapy Internal Family Systems, it dawned on her that the myths she had read since childhood described the subjective journey activated by these psychic healing methods. When myths describe a Hero crossing to a dream-like magical world to save a traumatized princess, they are describing how these methods facilitate the heroic meditator to cross to the dreamworld to release of the trauma safeguarded by the indwelling psychic parts. The mythic treasure unearthed by the Hero on this journey - harmonization of the kingdom - is the real treasure of physical-psycho-spiritual harmonization. Seeking to share this treasure with others, the author wrote Multidimensional Healing. Today, Carol Dignam works as a trauma psychotherapist employing the trauma psychotherapies Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and EMDR....
