David O'Driscoll, a prominent detective with an impeccable reputation in an otherwise sleepy little town, finds himself deeply immersed in the daunting task of attempting to piece together a violent cold murder case which surfaced twenty years ago. All the while, he is attempting to piece together his personal life, which has significantly veered off the steady, rock-solid rails that he was so reliant upon. Join him on his wild, fast-moving journey to build a team of specialized experts who band together to seek new clues to the mystery and bring justice to the criminal who they believe is responsible for the heinous act. The team must deal with and overcome bureaucratic obstacles that challenge their resolve and beliefs in the system from which they operate. Similarly, David must consider the possibility that he might find the best advice to solve the problems of his shattered personal life if he can only find the courage to reach out to those whose proven loyalty has become so immensely invaluable. This page-turner is at times funny, sad, infuriating, exciting, and most of all thought-provoking. Once the reader picks it up, it is very difficult to put it back down....
Biographie:
Jim O'Brien was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, a textile city spawned during the American Industrial Revolution. He studied for and attained a bachelor's degree from Providence College in the neighboring New England state of Rhode Island. After graduation, he began a forty-year career in the retail industry. Jim held multiple positions, from entry level to regional director of sales and operations, where his responsibilities necessitated travel throughout much of the United States. Jim has retired from the hectic schedule that his chosen profession demanded. Instead, he spends his time using his vast expertise in the retail world to backdrop his crime novels. Also, he plays as much golf as possible with family and good friends....

Jim O'Brien is a greater Boston native who has lived his entire life with his family in his beloved New England. A graduate of Providence College, Jim has over thirty years of retail experience. He has held positions from entry-level to Director of Sales and Operations where his responsibilities necessitated travel throughout much of the USA. In 2010 Jim was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. Five years later, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He has survived to tell his story to those willing to listen, frequently on a golf course while whacking and swearing at a small, white, dimpled orb....
