A phoenix is a mythical magical bird that repeatedly catches fire and dies just to be reborn from the ashes. In that way it is eternal but must constantly and brutally destroy old versions of itself to be born anew. Just like the phoenix, in order to grow into a new version of ourselves, we often need to let go of old versions and this process of growth is constant and sometimes quite painful. This collection of poems is about the process of letting go of old beliefs, old customs and old habits in order to grow. It's about those darker days when it's a little harder to get up in the morning and the places to find hope when everything seems like it has no meaning. Sometimes resting is a way of fighting too and the choice to wait for the sun to come out on a better day can be the best one we will ever make....

Biographie:
Raquel Costa is a graduate of Psychology, currently studying a Master's degree in Educational Psychology in Madrid. So far she has lived in her native Portugal, the UK, France and now Spain. Besides her Psychology studies, she is passionate about her yoga practice, meditation and mental health. Also reading, a lot. Since she was little, she loved to play with words and tell stories. Her big dream was to be a writer one day. Honouring her inner child, she keeps the dream alive by writing in her spare time on the The Lunar Side (www.thelunarside.wordpress.com), a Wordpress blog where she shares her insights on Meditation, Mental Health and Self-Discovery....
