    • Résumé :
Entry Denied is a true story about a young Yemeni dreamer who dreamt of travelling to the U.S to live the American dream. He left his country with 13 other Yemeni dreamers to reach the U.S. Convinced that they had the proper visas to the the US. They left their home country, Yemen. They passed through Cairo, then Milan, Italy, until they reached Miami Airport, where they were denied entry the U.S. The US immigration exiled them to the closest county that takes Yemenis citizens without visas, El Salvador. They crossed El Salvador to Nicaragua. There the Yemeni smuggler and his assistant abandoned them and to make it worst, they took their passports with them. They crossed many countries away from the police checkpoints through many jungles on foot and crossed by swimming some rivers. They experienced suffering, fatigue, hunger, homelessness and imprisonment, especially after the smugglers abandoned them.
Entry Denied embodies the story of resilience among Arab and Muslim youth in general, and Yemenis in particular, who wish to achieve their dreams in the land of freedom and opportunities. This novel touched upon many topics that every immigrant in America suffers from and portrayed an unexpected picture of the social and economic problems that even the Americans themselves and U.S authorities suffer from such as security, murders, thefts, medical care, illegal immigration and other controversial issues.
Entry Denied is not just a realistic story about resilience to achieve someone's dreams, but also a story of adventures, and some exciting, funny, and tragic events the hero of the novel went through all to live the American dream. Entry Denied lets its readers judge whether the hero of the novel succeeded in achieving his dream or not, and surprises them with an unexpected ending....
