There are so many superlatives to say about the stuttering community that it is virtually impossible to list each one. However, that is one of the reasons why I decided to create this book, this collection.

While I have only really known the stuttering community for less than a decade, my life as a Person Who Stutters dates back to early childhood. This is also the case for many of the contributors of this book, who share their original quotes as People Who Stutter but also as allies in this wonderful community.

While most contributors are People Who Stutter, some are parents of PWSs, some are speech-language pathologists, and some are even professors.

This collection is a special one, to say the least. Some quotes are inspirational, some poetic, and even lighthearted and funny. Some are short and succinct while others paint a picture of their lives as PWSs or as allies. Some convey messages of hope while others help to teach from personal experience.

I would like to thank each and every person for their contributions to this book. Whether they included a single quote or multiple, their prints, if you will, on this work is no more or less invaluable than the next.

In this book, you will learn some backstory on those contributors - many of whom have made their own mark on the stuttering community. Some are authors, some are public speakers, some SLPs, and some are, for lack of a better term, rock stars in this wonderful community.

I invite you to delve deep in our community and read what those of us have to say. Also, if you are anything like me, I encourage you to keep this book handy in the event where you need an uplifting quote or sense of perspective to get you through a difficult time or even a moment where you are looking for a reminder of just how great you - and your stutter - are.
