Résumé :

Jim Bradley and his brother Jeff are introduced as traveling performers, exploited for Jim's unique appearance in a circus-like setting during the Industrial Revolution. While Jeff supports and protects Jim, society's constant mockery and cruelty push Jim into a deep resentment toward those who shun him.

Despite the harsh world around them, Jim finds solace in the theater, where he meets Geo Moore, a kindhearted actress.
