A friend is brutally murdered in an alley in St. Petersburg and Jake refuses to buy the official police and media explanation. He and Alexandra vow to the dead man's widow to dig deeper, a pledge that takes them from Florida to southern Colorado and plunks them down in the midst of the nasty, multi-billion-dollar illegal cannabis industry, a world long-removed from the era of peace, love and understanding. A world populated by a ruthless, crafty drug lord running, his murderous lieutenants, a vast network of outlaw growers, family betrayals, crooked cops, and a psychopathic hitman.
