Résumé : Follow along with one little shellfish to discover cutting-edge, under-the-sea science! Did you know that deep in the ocean, fish are loud? Scientists have recently discovered that fish and shellfish grunt and groan, crackle and cluck, and even burp and boop to communicate. They warn each other, woo each other, and welcome each other with all kinds of sounds, making the ocean quite noisy! This upbeat, rhyming nonfiction picture book explores underwater science in a unique way and is perfect for any school or home library.
Biographie: Katie Melrose is a children's book illustrator whose love for art and reading was cultivated at a young age by her parents. You'll mostly find her with a good book or a drawing pen, but when she's without, she'll be in the kitchen, cooking up a storm and pretending she's a chef in her home in sunny California.
Kirsten Pendreigh is a journalist, poet, and author. Formerly a reporter and producer with NPR and CBC, she now writes nonfiction and fiction books for children. Her stories celebrate children's curiosity about our natural world and their instinct to nurture it. Kirsten's writing is inspired by the natural world near her home in Vancouver: the green rainforests, the blue Pacific Ocean, and the snowy Coast Mountains.
