STORY TELLER: The pursuit of ballet led S.K. to the art of storytelling through movement. Her dance career spanned four decades of performing, teaching, choreographing, and directing. Over sixty of her original choreographic works were brought to life for theatre audiences in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and Japan.DIGITAL ARTIST: S.K. also creates image art. Since 1997 she has been creating original digital art on her computer using a process of her own creation from her photographs...without the use of generative AI.VOYAGE TO WRITING: In 2010, she retired from the world of dance to tell her stories on the printed page. S.K. lived full-time on her boat for a decade cruising the coast of Southeast Alaska. Anchored in one remote, quiet cove or another, cut off from radio, television, cell phones, and the internet, she devoted her life to honing her skills photographing nature, creating digital art, catching dinner, and writing.
