    • Résumé :
Avery Smith is an imaginative girl who likes to let her mind wander. She longs to return to the mystical place she visited on Midsummer's Eve. But will a queen's curse prevent her from seeing it again? And must its wonders continually elude her? Avery's friend Bobby doesn't know who he is. But he knows whose son he'd like to be. A wise woman called Sheela is attracted to Bobby and is curious to learn his secret. But it's not easy separating truth from myth. And no less easy trying to save him. Avery Smith may be willing to help Sheela but can the two of them save Bobby from falling victim to a fiend trying to destroy his mind? A young girl's childhood in the country. A romance fraught with danger. A year in which everything changes. This tale of dreamers, druids and queens is full of magic and folklore....

      Biographie:
Avery Smith is an imaginative girl who likes to let her mind wander. Her adventures begin one Midsummer's Eve when she falls asleep on a hill that was once the site of a Celtic hillfort. She wakes up with a distorted memory of what could be a life-changing dream. It has cosmic significance. Avery cannot understand this dream on her own. Fortunately, she is helped by Maeve. A psychic researcher dressed in the clothes of a fairytale queen. Maeve has profound, almost mystical, knowledge of dreams. Maeve knows that the best dreams are stories and that Avery's story has only just begun. Soon Avery will become aware of even stranger folk and visit places and times beyond imagining. Places where the beings she encounters fill her with awe and where reality has become entangled with myth and imagination. Avery's reality is one of magic and mysticism: light and shadow. She confronts both dream and nightmare: trying to make sense of the mysterious. Avery imagines the world as enchanted. That's why she will soon receive a gift. One that will allow her to share her feelings of enchantment with others. This tale of dreamers, druids, and queens has been written for a wide readership including children, teenagers, and adults....

      Sommaire:
I sat down again to think. I remembered a piccolo, music that made me want to dance and sing, falling asleep - and then a dream. The dream was quite out of the ordinary. If Bobby hadn't left me on my own, I would have asked him if this was one of his 'Big Dreams'. He would have given me a knowing look and all but confirmed it with these words, 'You'll know if you've had a Big Dream, Avie. They're renowned for their revelatory nature. They won't fade away at dawn. Sometimes they never fade. Ever!' I didn't want my dream to fade away. I'd had a revelation of sorts. I was not on the hill last night. Somehow, I was somewhere else. Somewhere so enchanting it made the hill I woke up on seem less real than my dream. A young girl's childhood in the country. A romance fraught with danger. A year in which everything changes. This tale of dreamers, druids and queens is full of strange events, experiences and folklore....
