Fe Brewer has been enthusiastically teaching English in the East Midlands for over a decade and also works in ITT as lead teacher educator for a SCITT, a role she is deeply passionate about after working as a subject specialism expert and a PGCE mentor for several years. She is also an evidence lead in education and a Litdrive regional advocate: two roles which allow her to share both her love of literature and educational research with other teachers. Fe is a keen presenter, having spoken at TeachMeets and conferences, including Team English and WomenEd and has a reputation for her passionate delivery and flame-red hair. Biographie: Fe Brewer taught English in the East Midlands for almost 15 years before recently moving into teacher education full-time. She has written for TES, Teaching English and CLiC Dickens, and is the co-author of Succeeding as an English Teacher.
Mary Hind Portley is a highly experienced teacher and leader, having worked in several schools as a teacher, lead practitioner, assistant head and curriculum director. Mary is also a freelance writer and education blogger (www.hind-sights.com). Follow her @Lit_Liverbird.
Gwen Nelson taught in state secondary schools for 20 years before becoming an English Language and Literature specialist. Gwen has contributed to publications aimed at teachers using her knowledge of Cognitive Grammar to analyse key aspects of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
