Résumé :
Kyle Sanderson is a physician assistant in attendance at the autopsy of seventeen-year-old- Sean MacDonald, who died unexpectedly. Suddenly, Sean's ghost sits up on the autopsy table and implores Kyle to find out who did this to all of us. Kyle turns to his supervising physician, Luke Moses for help, and they set off on a quest to discover why their patients insured by Americare are inexplicably dying. Americare is the government owned and operated health insurance plan that is outcompeting all other insurance plans in the marketplace. Guided by Sean's ghost, Kyle and Luke's investigation leads them to a vast and intricate scheme perpetrated by our president, who is using the healthcare system to generate power, influence, and personal income at the expense of people's health and lives. While working together, Kyle and Luke develop an unexpected romantic connection, but their battle against strong government forces could tear them apart. Will the two men survive to discover exactly what is going on with Americare? Will they be able to end this scheme and bring those responsible to justice, or like their parents, will they die trying?...
