Elio Alba Buffill (Cuba, 25 de abril de 1930-USA, 24 de agosto de 2017) fue Profesor Em?rito de City University of New York, Kingsborough C. College y Secretario Ejecutivo del C?rculo de Cultura Panamericana. Obtuvo un Doctorado en Derecho de la Univesidad de la Habana y un Master of Art de Rutgers The State University of New Jersey y un Doctorado en Filosof?a de New York University. Pertenece a la Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Espa?ola y a muchas otras instituciones acad?micas. Ha publicado numerosos libros de ensayos y cr?tica literaria. Este libro contiene 21 conferencias y cinco presentaciones de libros estudiando figuras trascendentales como Enrique Jos? Varona, Eduardo Facciolo, Antonio Maceo, Gertrudis G?mez de Avellaneda, Jos?
