Sorgf?ltig formulierte Anregungen zum Erz?hlen, Verwenden von Materialien und Er?ffnen von Gespr?chen wecken die Vorstellungskraft und laden nicht nur Kinder zum Erkunden ein. Das Buch enth?lt au?erdem Kopiervorlagen f?r sog. Elternbriefe zu den meisten Darbietungen.
Die vorliegende 5. Auflage wurde in einigen Details ?berarbeitet, z.B. in der Darbietung zu den Zehn Geboten (lutherische und r?misch-katholische Z?hlweise). Weiterhin regt ein neuer, praxisorientierter Text zur Frage der Gottesbilder bei Godly Play zur Vertiefung an (?ber QRC/URL erreichbar).

Godly Play is a concept for spiritual formation and religious education. It invites children, young people, and adults to explore fundamental questions about their lives and faith as well as to find a language for these discussions. In a playful and creative way, Godly Play combines impulses from Montessori education with biblical stories and Christian traditions.
The concept was developed by Jerome Berryman (USA) in 1970 and has been used in parishes, kindergartens, schools, and other educational institutions in German-speaking countries since around 2003 and is constantly being developed further.
The practical volume 'Glaubensgeschichten' contains 13 presentations on the church year, the Bible as a book and central themes from the Old Testament such as Creation, the Flood, Exodus and the Ten Commandments. Carefully formulated suggestions for storytelling, using materials and opening up conversations awaken the imagination and invite not only children to explore. The book also contains copy templates for so-called 'Elternbriefe' for most of the presentations. This 5th edition has been revised in some details, e. g. in the presentation of the Ten Commandments (Lutheran and Roman Catholic counting).
