    • Résumé :

So, when you have the time and the space, the thoughts start to fill it, you know? Unless you fill it yourself. With a little burn mout. Or a little tune.

Errol lost his dad last year. Listening to his old man's Spotify playlist, he remembers his dad's passion over the 1981 Brixton uprising and his certainty that change was coming.

Errol is tired of the fight and, as his son takes up the fight with the BLM movement, he questions if this is a revolution or a repetition.

A thought-provoking journey of loss, history and uprising in Everything I Own, an intimate yet provocative intergenerational conversation between father and son written by Daniel Ward.

This edition was published to coincide with the run at London's Brixton House in June 2024.

      Biographie:
Daniel Ward is a writer and actor from South London. His work focuses on the Black British lived experience, in all its guises from the naturalistic to the fantastical. A graduate of the NYT and LAMDA, he has performed in theatres all over the country whilst continually writing and honing his artistic voice. This led to his debut play, The Canary and the Crow, which premiered at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 to rousing accolades and sold out performances. It went on to receive the Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence before embarking on a UK tour, which included a run at Theatre Royal Stratford East. In January of 2020, Daniel won the Writers Guild of Great Britain's Best Play for Young Audiences Award, and he has since concluded a 2020 run of the play at the Arcola Theatre in London. He also won the George Devine Award in 2020 for The Canary and the Crow. Daniel's play Everything I Own premiered at Brixton House's Housemates 2023 Festival, before returning for a four week run at Brixton House in summer 2024....
