Biographie:
Jill S. Flateland spent 40 years as a nurse executive. After retiring in 2006, she took her first bold steps into the wider writing world. Among her published works are real stories about family members who took part in many historical events that shaped the world (from the early 20th century to WW2). She's also written several novels, including one that was a finalist in the 2014 Colorado Gold Contest of the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Group.Today, she and her husband live in Colorado and travel extensively. A portion of sales from her books is also funneled towards charitable causes that the couple is actively involved in. The first is Angel Covers, where proceeds support a Vill-Angel Medical clinic in the center of a rural farming community in Katale, Kenya, allowing poor families to receive high-quality healthcare. The second is Seeds of South Sudan, where donations help rescue refugees from Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, allowing orphans to attend boarding schools in the country. Once these students graduate, they plan to return to South Sudan to help rebuild its economy and infrastructure and create a stabilized nation....

There is nothing like a good mystery. Suspense novels get my juices flowing. I entered 'Until We Meet Again' in the 2014 Colorado Gold Contest at the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer's Contest. It became a finalist in the mystery/suspense category.Although my background is in healthcare, I've been a writer all of my life. Over the past 30 years, I created 26 audio/video courses for continuing education of nurses and published 21 volumes of healthcare pathways for disease management used throughout the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Australia.In 2006, I retired and ventured into the wider writing world. In 2011, I published A Lightning Slinger's Tales of the Rails, which tells of my aunt, Dr. Vera E. Williams', life as a female telegrapher during World War II. In November, 2014, I completed Ding Dong, the Rural Schools Are Gone, a story of my two aunts (ages 97 and 88), who were both teachers during early 20th century.
