Doctor Louis Canella is a seventy-three-year-old retired psychiatrist who graduated from the University of Toronto School of Medicine. His life-long interests in physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, philosophy and religion led him to specialize in psychiatry, allowing him to make best use of what he had learned to help his patients with their physical, psychological and spiritual difficulties. Applying that knowledge base to deal with real-life situations and people in their suffering facilitated the marrying of science and religion.
