    • Résumé :
Rev. William Macleod provides a splendidly faithful outline of the teaching of Scripture on the momentous matter of salvation for people in this world from sin and hopelessness, through what Christ has done by the cross to save us from our sins, and by the saving work of the Holy Spirit within to apply the redemption wrought by Christ. Mr Macleod, an experienced preacher and teacher of theology, has produced what can be described as multum in parvo (much in little). He has provided a concise exposition in the first 10 chapters of the necessity and nature of the atonement accomplished by Christ. Then there is the working out of the application of salvation in the lives of men and women in what might be called the 'golden chain' from calling to glorification (cf. Romans 8:28-30). This is dealt with in chapters 11 to 20. - John W Keddie in the Foreword...
