Présentation A Sublime Salvation de Macleod, William Format Broché
- Livre Littérature Générale
Résumé :
Rev. William Macleod provides a splendidly faithful outline of the teaching of Scripture on the momentous matter of salvation for people in this world from sin and hopelessness, through what Christ has done by the cross to save us from our sins, and by the saving work of the Holy Spirit within to apply the redemption wrought by Christ. Mr Macleod, an experienced preacher and teacher of theology, has produced what can be described as multum in parvo (much in little). He has provided a concise exposition in the first 10 chapters of the necessity and nature of the atonement accomplished by Christ. Then there is the working out of the application of salvation in the lives of men and women in what might be called the 'golden chain' from calling to glorification (cf. Romans 8:28-30). This is dealt with in chapters 11 to 20. - John W Keddie in the Foreword...
Biographie:
REV. WILLIAM MACLEOD, BSc, ThM, a retired Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) minister, was brought up in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. He was translated to Portree (Isle of Skye) in 1993 and then to Thornwood (now Knightswood) (Glasgow) in 2006, retiring in 2021. He is the author of ENCOURAGEMENT IN DARK DAYS (2023) and THE GLORIOUS FUTURE (2023), both also published by Scottish Reformed Heritage Publications. The Rev John W. Keddie, writer of the Foreword, is a retired minister of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) in which he also served as Lecturer of Church History and Principal in its Seminary. He is author of several works of Church History and biography, including popular biographies of Olympic champion and missionary, Eric Liddell, Running the Race and Finish the Race (the latter for younger readers)....
