Introduction of Platelet Concentrates in field of Dentistry improves the Repair and Regeneration of Soft and hard Tissues after different surgical procedures. After introduction of Fibrin Glue in 1970's these platelet concentrate products travels a long journey from Platelet Rich Plasma, Platelet Rich in Growth Factors, Platelet Rich Fibrin, Advanced PRF, I-PRF, T-PRF to PRF lysate. All these have different preparation protocol. healing promotive properties are due to various growth factors present in platelets. A PRP blood clot, contains 4% RBCs, 95% platelets, and 1% WBCs.By bringing the concept that different centrifugation speeds may lead to differences in number of platelets, leukocytes, bioactive molecules count and also on structure of PRF scaffold. PRF, in future we can expect improved additives which will further enhance the wound healing and regeneration outcomes.
