Biographie:
Originally from Long Island, Gregg Goldman currently resides in Northern Westchester, New York with his two Bengal cats, Keanu and Loki. His wife, Cali, lives there too. Gregg and Cali have three children, all of whom are in various stages of leaving the nest, which Gregg finds sad but also a little exciting. Cali's illness inspired Gregg to write his first book, Lymphomania, in the hopes that his experiences as a reluctant caregiver would inspire or bring a smile to others in similar situations. When he is not writing or cat herding, Gregg sells boxes. He went to school for that. Gregg also enjoys painting and spending time in the outdoors, but is most comfortable on his couch....
Sommaire:
this was a crisis occurring directly in his own home, his sanctuary. However, with Cali now too sick to rule the roost, Gregg puts his introverted tendencies aside to deal with the kids, Cali's ever-present family, concerned friends, doctors with way too much on their plate, and a zillion other tasks that may be normal for most but are foreign to a guy who barely likes talking to people. In this emotional and darkly humorous memoir of marriage and self-realization, Gregg falls in love with his wife all over again as she shows incredible strength and vulnerability during a time when the fear of death overshadows the hope for a better future....
