Ronald Bruce Rogers NATIVE New York songwriter, composer, Ze / Island Records recording artist and record producer better known as Ron Rogers, a/k/a Ronnie Rogers, born November 5, 1952, in the Soundview section of the South Bronx, New York, NYC, USA is known for his songs and recordings from the late 1970s through the 1990s. After recording a debut RCA Victor LP entitled Gichy Dan's Beechwood # 9, which Rogers and songwriter August Darnell produced together - Rogers composed the words and music to the dance hit Deputy of Love which charted #1 in Billboard magazine for recording artist Don Armando. Following the initial success, in New York, Michael Zilkha, founder of ZE Records discovered, and began publishing Ron Rogers compositions through Island Music Ltd / Island Records....
