Dami was born a seeker and a wanderer and her travels form the framework for her inner journey. From a comfortable, conventional European childhood, via meditation centers and ashrams with some of the great teachers of the seventies, S.N. Goenka, Neem Karoli Baba, and Ram Dass, to communities in the USA and back to the wild places of the Himalaya, the journey etches itself onto her spirit. Dami has to face her husband's character changes and his rejection of her caring. On her journey in Ladakh she finds the inner freedom to fly free while holding onto her wedding vows.
