He was again chosen for his second term as the president. This time, the United States had barely made its way out of the Depression. In his last term, The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which provoked Roosevelt to declare war. On April 12, 1945, Franklin Delano Roosevelt died due to massive cerebral hemorrhage.
