      • Résumé :
In the shadows of the Soviet Union, young Anfisa Petrova comes of age with a stark awareness of her budding femininity, but with the lingering trauma of her past. Raised in a family distant from communist ideologies, she finds solace in the love of her mother and grandfather. However, fate thrusts her into a chilling reality at seventeen, forcing her to confront the harrowing experience of being a woman prisoner in the USSR. These trials shape her decisions in life, ultimately leading her to part ways with her first husband a cunning art thief who exploits the vulnerabilities of the waning Soviet era. Love in Communism weaves a story of resilience, love, and the pursuit of personal liberty against a backdrop of political turmoil, repression, and suspicion.

        Biographie:
English version: Angelika Regossi is a former BBC Eastern Europe correspondent who reported from the heart of the collapsing Communist world during the fall of the Iron Curtain and the transition from communism to capitalism. She worked for BBC Radio and later freelanced for Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Deutsche Welle, and served as a television producer for Belgium's VRT, Der Spiegel (Germany), NOS (Netherlands), and Voice of America (USA), publishing at the time under the names Agnes R. Bos and ????? ???.Alongside her journalistic career, Regossi independently mastered several structurally complex languages, including English, Hungarian, and Dutch. Her personal experience of learning languages through immersion, sound recognition, and real-life usage - rather than mechanical memorization - became the foundation of her comparative bilingual approach. Living and working in different countries allowed her to observe how languages influence one another in everyday speech. These observations inspired the My Thousand Words series: practical, two-directional vocabulary books designed to help learners quickly recognize familiar words, avoid false friends, and build functional language confidence from the very first steps. Titles from the My Thousand Words series are held by major European libraries, including the Berlin State Library. Regossi is also the author of the historical novel Love in Communism and the historical fiction and culinary collection Russian Colonial Food. ??????? ??????: ???????? ??????? - ?????? ????????????? Sommaire:
Angelika Regossi is a former BBC Eastern Europe correspondent who reported from the heart of the collapsing Communist Empire. Her work connects history, culture, and everyday life through memory, storytelling, and lived experience. During the unprecedented transformation of Eastern Europe-from the fall of the Iron Curtain to the expansion of NATO and the European Union-she reported for BBC Radio and later freelanced for Radio France International (RFI) and Deutsche Welle. She also worked as a television producer for Belgium's VRT, Der Spiegel (Germany), NOS (Netherlands), and Voice of America (USA), among others, publishing at the time under the names Agnes R. Bos and ????? ???.Regossi traveled extensively across the former Communist world, covering major historical events including the Balkan wars during the break-up of Yugoslavia (1991-2001), the overthrow of Yugoslav president Slobodan Milo?evi? (2000), and his war-crimes trial at the Tribunal in The Hague (2002). Her reporting also took her beyond Europe, from the Quebec independence referendum (1995) to regions shaped by political repression and conflict, including Iraq, Burma, Laos, and the Caucasus.Drawing on first-hand experience, journalism, and lived history, Angelika Regossi writes fiction and narrative nonfiction that explore communism, cultural identity, and private life under political systems, giving voice-especially to women's lives-to everyday stories often lost behind ideology and power....
