She has long found herself moved by poetry-counting Maya Angelou, Leonard Cohen, Atticus and Shel Silverstein among her favourites-and her experience teaching poetry, ultimately resulting in her first collection. She lives in west coast Canada with her husband and beloved dog, Bernie.
