Présentation The Anvil's Passion Format Broché
- Livre Médecine vétérinaire
Résumé :
On a quaint vacation to Egg Harbor, New Jersey, I discovered my grandfather's unmarked grave. Kick starting a grand effort to know who he was, I began a search of his life and my own. This mindful and heartfelt tale narrates that long walk. It is told looking from the front steps of the houses I have lived in. From crabbing with my dad and Joe in Connecticut or the night shift at the railroad in Philly, to love letters in Tennessee and chasing bats and launching kids in the Midwest. Through these many stops, I share the generous and interesting people I encountered. With an eye for the psychological, faith in the presence of God, and an appreciation for family and community, the trip will touch you in its humanity. The Anvil's Passion is a story of one who is in awe of life, thankful for both its joys and hardships.
Biographie:
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, the author grew up in Philadelphia. The eldest of three sons, he somehow graduated from college and went on to a doctorate in psychology. In grad school, he met a wonderful woman. They married and had three beautiful children. Building the sturdy structure of a marriage, family, and career, they spent several decades in Indiana. The years have seen strong family bonds and a commitment to the Catholic church. The author is a retired psychologist and a Catholic deacon. He worked at a State Hospital, mental health center, and private practice. He was ordained a catholic deaclon in 2012. Living in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife of 48 years, they have eight grandchildren. He is an avid angler, a musician, a bonsai enthusiast, a spiritual director, and a seeker of God in all things. The couple live in the basement of their daughter and son-in-law's home, helping to care for their special needs granddaughter.
