Biographie:
Prof. Avraham Mayevsky is a Professor Emeritus in The Mina & Everard Goodman Faculty of Life Sciences and the Leslie and Susan Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan, Israel. Prof. Avraham Mayevsky's field of research since he started his Post-Doc training with Prof. Britton Chance in 1972, was Energy metabolism, including mitochondrial function in vivo, of the brain mainly and other tissues In Vivo, exposed to various pathophysiological conditions. During the 50 years of activity he was able to accomplish a large number of goals that have a very significant impact on the understanding of pathophysiological processes in the brain and other organs evaluated under In Vivo conditions. His vision was to develop experimental approaches and tools that will enable him to study various physiological processes in experimental animals and at the same time, will be ready for clinical applications. Dr. Efrat Barbiro-Michaely is a lab manager in the Mina & Everard Goodman Faculty of Life Sciences and the Institute of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan, Israel. From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Michaely pursued her Ph.D. in Prof. Mayevsky's lab, where her research focused on the impact of elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) on brain metabolism. This was evaluated in real-time using Prof. Mayevsky's multiparametric monitoring device. Following her graduation, Dr. Michaely became Prof. Mayevsky's lab manager, a position she held for ten years. During this time, she contributed to numerous brain physiology studies, including research on brain injury, elevated ICP, brain retraction, ischemia, hypoxia, and epilepsy. She is a contributing author to 19 publications and numerous scientific posters. After Prof. Mayevsky's retirement, Dr. Michaely transitioned her scientific focus to the field of microfluidics and is now the lab manager for Prof. Doron Gerber at Bar-Ilan University's Nano Center. Currently, she is involved in the development of various microfluidic devices for diverse studies. Examples include testing the effect of an array of anti-cancer drugs on cancer cells and evaluating interactions between proteins, nucleotides, small molecules, and toxins involved in a wide range of fields. Dr. Michael Tolmasov is a lab manager in the Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research center at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan, Israel. From 2003 to 2007, Dr. Tolmasov pursued his Ph.D. in Prof. Mayevsky's lab, where his research focused on the Real Time Multiparametric Monitoring of the Brain and Small Intestine in Critical Experimental Conditions. This was evaluated in real-time using Prof. Mayevsky's multiparametric monitoring device. Following his graduation, Dr. Tolmasov held R&D roles at XTL Biopharmaceuticals, D-Pharm and MD Biosciences specializing in neurovascular and hepatology models. thereafter, Dr Tolmasov became Prof Stern&rsquo...
