Résumé :
Ze wil ontsnappen maar de muren van het verpleegtehuis houden haar gevangen. Zal ze ooit weer bij haar kinderen kunnen zijn? In het psycho-geriatrische verpleegtehuis Molenhoek heeft teamleider Kees de leiding over een groep wisselende collega's op zijn krapbezette afdeling, iets waar bewoners, vaak ongemerkt, de dupe van worden. Er wordt naar gestreefd de bewoners nog een bepaalde vorm van levenswaarde te geven, maar personeelsleden als Mildred en Willie hebben daar zo hun idee?n over. Zij tolereren de aanwezigheid van bepaalde bewoners vaak niet. Voor de constant op zoek zijnde mevrouw Hinloopen zijn de verstikkende muren van het verpleegtehuis nooit acceptabel geweest. Op een dag verdwijnt zij, met verstrekkende gevolgen ... Een roman over uitzichtloosheid en misstanden maar ook volharding....

Caroline Muntjewerf, an author of fictional standalone novels, was born and raised in the Netherlands. She mostly worked as a care-worker in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Germany where she lived for several years. Around the turn of the century she started writing creatively after she'd kept travel journals while traveling / backpacking through quite a few countries where she met people from a variety of cultures and experienced their different countries. Back home in The Netherlands, she kept writing and working as an indie author. Apart from creating stories, she has written two screenplays as well, based on two of her books.
