Matt and John are recovering from the ordeal of The First Story. John is out of the hospital but is still having troubles. The trial of Little Bill, the boy who attacked John and left him in a coma, is starting and Matt and John are on edge because of that. In Creativity, the Elements are beginning to act strangely. They are interrupting stories and even leaving them. The Council of Aspects meets to discuss the problem. When Baba Vedma, THE witch, suddenly begins to change places with John in our world, the need to figure out how our two worlds are related becomes of paramount importance Trial of the Elements finds our heroes trying to navigate a new world where Aspects can cross over and take the place of humans from our world. Their entire world, and their very existence, is being redefined in a way that confuses and frightens them all. Will the entangled worlds survive the new reality of shifting identities?
