Biographie: Mark Castro, Ph.D., is director of curatorial affairs, Chrysler Museum of Art. He is the author of Abraham ?ngel: Between Wonder and Seduction (Best Art Books of 2023, The New York Times) and Octavio Medellin: Spirit and Form (2022). Lloyd DeWitt, PhD, is the former senior curator and Irene Leache Curator of Carolyn Swan Needell is the Carolyn and Richard Barry Curator of Glass at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia. She is, most recently, a co-author of The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art (2023) and editor of Barbara Earl Thomas: The Illuminated Body (2023. Chelsea Pierce is McKinnon Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Chrysler Museum of Art. Her publications include Creative Dissent: Alternative Cultures during Socialism and Beyond, 1945-1991 (forthcoming) and A Shared Vision: The Macon and Joan Brock Collection of American Art, edited by Corey Piper (2023). Corey Piper is the Brock Curator of American Art at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Select publications include Americans in Spain: Painting and Travel, 1820-1920 (co-editor and essayist, 2021), and Susan Watkins and Women Artists of the Progressive Era (Forthcoming).
