Résumé : Founded in Zurich in 2008 by architect Christian Penzel and structural engineer Martin Valier, Penzel Valier have established themselves as one of Switzerland's leading design firms. In fifteen years, they have realized projects that uniquely demonstrate the interplay between the two disciplines. Their portfolio includes a wide range of different typologies, including transportation and infrastructure buildings, office and sports structures, as well as housing, interior design, and objects. This first monograph on Penzel Valier combines the fundamentals of their design principles with a presentation of their key buildings and projects. Essays by distinguished authors examine the firm's work from different perspectives. A detailed illustrated complete catalog of their built, unrealized, and ongoing projects since 2007-2024 rounds off the beautiful volume.

Sommaire: Christian Penzelund Martin Valierf?hren seit 2008 ihr gemeinsames Architekturb?ro in Z?rich. Christian Penzel hat an der Hochschule f?r bildende K?nste in Hamburg Design und an der Technischen Universit?t und der Universit?t der K?nste in Berlin Architektur studiert. Martin Valier hat nach einer Lehre als Tiefbauzeichner an der Hochschule f?r Technik und Wirtschaft in Chur (heute FH Graub?nden) sein Diplom als Bauingenieur erworben. Leonore Daumhat an der Technischen Universit?t Berlin, der Universit?t f?r angewandte Kunst Wien sowie an der University of California in Los Angeles Architektur studiert und ist Mitglied der Gesch?ftsleitung von Penzel Valier. Friedrich Tellb?scherhat an der Leibniz Universit?t Hannover Architektur studiert und arbeitet seit 2011 bei Penzel Valier, seit 2019 als Mitglied der Gesch?ftsleitung.
