Would you like more in your life? No. Not more things. More joy. More fulfillment. God wants each of us to experience more in our lives. We do that when we discover God's purpose for our lives. More is another word for purpose. However, writing or reading about God's purpose can sound deep and complicated. More seems such a better word. Of course, try to use the word more as a noun, and it drives grammar editing apps crazy. But more it is. More isn't complicated. God sends very few people to far-off countries to find their more. Your more is usually right in front of you. You haven't recognized it as your more because it is right in front of you. But if you ask God, He will reveal it to you. And your more might well change and morph over various stages of your life. God never leaves us where we are. Ephesians 3:20 says God can do more for us than we can ever dream possible. Are you ready to seek God's more for you? Don't be afraid to reach out and ask him. It won't be painful, and it probably won't even be earth-shattering. But you will feel more fulfilled and joyful than you ever have when you know you are following God's call on your life. You will read about various people in the Bible and how they did or did not find their more. You will also read about those who chose wrong mores. But you will also read about those who chose the right ones. You will learn those in the Bible are no different than you. Everyone has a more. You have a more. Rebecca Platt is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a major in Psychology. Postgraduate courses: Clinical Pastoral Education. She is a former Bible teacher and lay counselor. She has conducted retreats and been the guest speaker for numerous conferences. She is currently a full-time author who has written two other nonfiction books: Depression Has a Big Voice and More! She also writes fiction novels under the pseudonym Perry Rowe, the first of which is The Second Best Christmas. She blogs at goodthoughtsgoodlives.com, where she focuses on living a joy-filled life free of depression and anxiety. She loves writing, reading, Bible study, researching, and all things DIY.
