Biographie:
Dr. Kristin Lucas is a board-certified pediatrician in the Chicagoland area. Dr. Lucas is a wife and mother of twin daughters and a son. She is a big kid at heart, which drives her unwavering passion for catering to children both at work and at home. In her spare time, Dr. Lucas is a foodie who enjoys trying new restaurants, baking, shopping, and traveling. Dr. Lucas began practicing medicine with the overarching goal to eliminate healthcare disparities. She believes equitable healthcare must be accessible to all regardless of your zip code, race, ethnicity, sex, age, or socioeconomic status. Dr. Lucas strongly supports team-based care and partners with patients and their parents to broaden their medical knowledge and make informed decisions collaboratively. Preventive, proactive care is promoted instead of reactive care when managing the health of her patients. Development is such an integral part of childhood growth. Many conditions, if caught early, can be corrected or significantly improved. However, starting treatment requires identifying a problem. Parents/caregivers may not recognize that a problem exists and consequently not realize the need to check in with a professional.
