Laura Redfern never thought her career path would be in finance. With a background in Theatre Arts and British Literature, she always assumed she'd end up teaching. But when she moved to Texas in 2002 and began working for an insurance company, she discovered the power of a different language: the language of finance. And her journey began.After working nearly ten years in the industry, Laura earned her Certified Financial Planner? designation in 2011, considered the gold standard in financial services. But knowing the technical skills was not quite enough. Fueled by her experiences with coaching clients through tough life transitions, Laura was inspired to attain the Certified Financial Transitionist ? designation, which she did in 2020. She now advises clients on both sides of money: the technical and the deeply personal.Still a teacher at heart, Laura also created Peaceful Prosperity, a company specializing in financial education for women. Laura's passion is to empower fellow women and creatives with the tools to build financial peace and freedom. Laura currently resides in south Austin, Texas with her husband, Ryan. When she's not writing, you can find her drinking tea, eating tacos, doing yoga, or binge-watching Disney movies.
