Résumé :
Join Best Selling author Jim Douglas as he takes us on the life journeys of twenty-nine Civil War soldiers from one sleepy farming community in Southwestern Pennsylvania, historic Washington County. The author tells their complete story from their beginnings, through the war, and afterward through their lives to the end and some even further. He explores the inescapable link between the Civil War veterans and their descendants who served in later conflicts. We learn the truth of what their lives were really like when Johnny came marching home. Some of these veterans turned out to be fun loving Scamps, some led the life of a Scoundrel, and some were true American Heroes. Whichever they were, these veterans have stories that deserve to be told.
